These tickets we swapped with some we had from the FIFA draw that turned out to be a Germany game. Best football match of Englands campaign. Pity about the result. It was good to watch a game that got me to my feet though. We had to set off home that night anyway.

England v Ecuador WC 2006
I remember this for the campsite or more to the point the lack of a campsite and the use of the car-park. We left our tent in the car-park early so we got our tickets off some guy at a petrol station for about 350 euros each and headed into town for a few beers. We weren’t happy with the price, but that was the going rate and better to sort it out and enjoy the rest of the day. The game was dull and watching the highlights doesn’t take long

England vs Sweeden WC 2006
We didn’t have tickets but after 3 hours of hanging about with a sign while everyone else was watching the game before this one we managed to find ourselves with 3. We promptly sold the 3rd to someone who had got pissed and watched the game before for a tidy sum and this helped us pay the tidy sum we had paid. The vid is a bit rubbish, but it does have the guys we sat next to with Stuart Pearce in it.

England vs Trinidad and Tobago. WC 2006
It was hot and the van was like a bread tin. The campsite had 8 showers and about 800 fans, worse, England fans! The game releacted the heat. Slow and a bit dull. Tickets were legitimate (only ones) and

England v Croatia Euro 2004
The ride to the ground was awesome. Sold our spare ticket for just 70 euros. The game was the best game of the tournament for England. Ashley Cole was exceptional.

England v Switzerland Euro 2004
Being only my 3rd England game ever I was a little impressed with the team bus. Although we were not allowed anywhere near it. Game itself was pretty dull and although we won it want convincing. That night I remember the chant was “if it wasn’t for the scoucers we’d be out”. Very good.
Our seats were exceptional. We were sat over posh spice and just 2 rows behind Ally Mcoist

England v France Euro 2004

I remeber the day well. We had a spare ticket and spent far to much time trying to sell it for as mush as we has spent on it. It was to get worse. This match for me sums up the Erikson era; we go 1 nil up and then try to hold it. Two years earlier we had tried and failed against Brazil and now was our second dose, not to be our last. Turned out that our tickets were in the french end and the beer was alcohol free. What happened on the pitch was much worse.
